Maiden City Motor Club looks to the 2010 year with a new sense of enthusiasm and optimism for its current club members and potential new club members in the incoming season.
2010 will provide fresh impetus to increase the social aspect of the club, which had a successful year with a fresh demand for bask to basics navigation skills among the young and not so young navigators and drivers.
A new championship for young members appeared, and brought an influx of student members to the fore.
It is hoped that this can be built upon for 2010. Maiden City has been involved at the top level with many other sister clubs associated with the ANICC and MotorSport Ireland again on 09. This may be recognised by the level of support that may be seen when Maiden City's own events are being run, with the assistance provided by many officials and competitors from across the motorsport spectrum that turn out to ‘lend a hand on the day.' For that, we are grateful and Maiden City again thanks its close ties with its many friends, competitors and helpers and various connections through the ANICC and MI affiliated clubs. Without the support and assistance given, by all, at the various levels of MSport in Northern Ireland and MotorSport Ireland, we hope to strive to develop the sport for all concerned to lift the level of enjoyment for all concerned.
We will strive develop new venues, and assist with attracting new competitors and the spectators alike.
The calendar for the 2010 season will be as busy as usual, with a renewed emphasis on quality events, more social focus for the members of the Club and a drive to include more young members to carry the mantle for motorsport into the future.
Club Meetings take place on the second Monday of each month, at the White Horse Inn, Campsie, usually starting at 8.30.p.m.
